NO. 6 TIGERS HOST LEWIS AND DAVENPORT ON SATURDAY IN THE PERRY POOL

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – The No. 6 Olivet Nazarene University men's swim and dive team hosted the ONU Senior Meet inside the Perry Student Life and Recreation Center on Saturday.  The Tigers hosted a pair of NCAA Division two schools: Lewis University and Davenport University. Lewis defeated ONU 194-78, and Davenport won 145-125. 

 

The team of Liam Kuiper, Alejandro Evreinoff-Salinas, Christian Mikrut, and Timothy Braun started the meet with a third-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay.  They clocked in a time of 1:37.56.  In the one-meter diving competition, Kyle Lovell, Seth Ellis, and Joshua Whaley placed first, second, and third.  Lovell won the competition with a score of 178.20. In the 200-yard backstroke, Nicholas Klenner finished as the runner-up in the race finishing with a time of 1:59.03.  Then, in the 100-yard butterfly, Mikrut won the race with a time of 52.26 seconds.  Connor Harrison finished fourth in the race. 

 

The Tigers finished up the meet with a third-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay as they took third in the meet.

The No. 6 Tigers wrap up their dual schedule as they travel to Wheaton College on Saturday, January 22nd.  The dual starts at noon.
