TIGERS CAPTURE BOTH NAIA NATIONAL SWIMMER OF THE MONTH AWARDS
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Jack Fries and Allison Pearson, both of Olivet Nazarene University, were named NAIA Men's and Women's Swimmers of the Month, respectively, the league office announced Friday. Both student-athletes were selected for their performances from Dec. 15-Jan. 25 by a vote of conference Sports Information Directors. Each swimmer was selected out of a pool of nominees from around the country.
This is the first national honor for Fries and marks the second time this season that Pearson has been named NAIA Women's Swimmer of the Month.

Fries was either the champion or runner-up in all five of his individual events this month, including a first- and second-place finish against NCAA D-II opponent Davenport. He hit the NAIA provisional standard in all of his individual events.

Pearson took the top spot in all eight events she competed in over two meets, including all four events against D-II Davenport (Mich.). She hit the provisional standard in all six of her individual events. This marks the second time this season that Pearson has been named the KCAC Women's Swimmer of the Month.
