BEALL AND KLENNER EARN CSC ACADEMIC ALL-AMERICAN TEAM HONORS

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Olivet Nazarene University swimmers Mason Beall and Nicholas Klenner were named to the prestigious 2022-23 Academic All-America Men's Swimming & Diving Team, as selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC). Both Tigers were named to the first team.

The CoSIDA Academic All-America Team is comprised of student-athletes from NAIA institutions and is selected based on the students' work on the field and in the classroom. Nominees must be starters or important reserves, sophomores or older, with at least 3.30 cumulative grade point averages.

The 12 members of the NAIA's first team boasted a 3.84 average GPA. Click HERE to see the full list of honorees.

Beall, a native of Rochester, Ind., was a five-time 2023 NAIA All-American, placing in the top-16 of two individual events and three relays. The junior placed 14th in the men's 1650 freestyle at 16:28.94 and 13th in the men's 500 freestyle in 4:37.78. Beall was also a member of the ONU men's 200 freestyle, 400 freestyle, and 800 freestyle relays, which all placed inside the top-8 at Nationals. He is double-majoring in Biochemistry and Sociology at ONU.

Klenner was also a five-time NAIA All-American in 2023, earning All-American finishes in three relays and two individual events. The sophomore native of Whiteland, Ind. took home an eighth-place finish in the men's 100 backstroke at 50.58 and placed sixth in the men's 200 backstroke. Klenner was also a part of the ONU men's 200 medley, 400 medley, and 800 freestyle relays that all placed inside the top-8 at the NAIA Championships. He is an Engineering major at ONU.

The duo helped the Tigers notch 155 points for an eighth-place finish at the NAIA National Championships and won a second-consecutive KCAC Conference Championship.
