TIGERS ADVANCE TO CCAC SEMIFINALS WITH 4-0 WIN OVER FIGHTING SAINTS

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – After closing out the regular season on a two-game win streak, the Olivet Nazarene University men's tennis team opened the CCAC Tournament with a 4-0 win over St. Francis (Ill.) in the quarterfinal round.

The Tigers swiftly picked up the doubles point, with Davi Toledo and Hector Romero taking the top doubles match 6-2 and Carlo Cota Vargas and Brian Victor Ayala bringing home the point in the No. 3 match with a 6-0 win.

In singles, Ayala picked up the 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 4, Romero took the win at No. 5 with a 6-3, 6-3 win, and Paul Saleh nailed down the win by not giving up a single point in the No. 6 match with a 6-0, 6-0 win.

WHAT'S NEXT?

The win advances the Tigers to the semifinal round of the CCAC Tournament, where they will face No. 1-seeded Holy Cross on the road Thursday afternoon.
