TIGERS KEEP ROLLING AT ONU INVITE

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. - The Olivet Nazarene University men's and women's track & field teams were back in the Perry Center Saturday when they hosted the ONU Invite. No official team scores were recorded.

Four different Tigers won events on the women's side. Kimberly Brent set a PR to win the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.57. She also shared the podium with Linda Griffith in the 60-meter dash, with Griffith taking second at 7.85 and Brent placing third at 7.87, Olivia Sturrup finished sixth (8.17).

Kiara Carter was the champion in the 400-meter dash (58.43) as the only runner to clock in under one minute. Tera Miller was third in the event with a time of 1:00.29. Hannah Antkoviak took the gold in the 60-meter hurdles, crossing the finish line at 8.96 tok finish first. Emma Betts was right behind her in fifth place at 10.06.

Heidi Heldt blitzed out an NAIA "A" standard in the 800-meter run at 2:25.74, taking the top spot in the event. Thaliyah Martinez finished fifth (2:32.94). Jacey Schickel was the runner-up in the 1-mile run at 5:24.56. Eleanor Fournier and Catherine White finished fourth (5:27.83) and fifth (5:32.87), respectively.

Olivia Earl cleared 3.42 meters to tie for fourth in the pole vault. A 5.02-meter jump earned Hailey Perrine a seventh-place finish in the long jump. In the shot put, Lana Krohe placed fifth (12.21 meters), Courtney Hall took sixth (12.14 meters), and Sarah Schoonmaker went seventh (11.42 meters). Hall placed hit an NAIA "B" standard in the weight throw to place third at 16.05 meters. Kayla Mikottis was sixth (14.82 meters) and Elizabeth Treadway was eighth (13.79 meters). Jolene Mantoan was fourth in the triple jump (10.71 meters).

The women's 4x400-meter relay team of Carsyn Burdine, Betts, Sydnie Hatch, and Tori Orton cruised to a first-place finish at 4:13.67.

Erik Richter was the champion of the 800-meter run, leading four Tigers inside the top eight of the event with a time of 1:59.10.Connor Price was third in 2:00.00, Chapman Neal was fourth (2:00.19), and Mabaraka Mmbumba finished fifth (2:00.72).

Boston Brooks and Taylor Vallangeon tallied an ONU 1-2 finish in the 3000-meter run. Brooks took the top spot at 8:54.72 while Vallangeon was the runner-up at 8:57.93. Austin Rush was seventh in the event (9:24.45). Owen Daugherty was third in the 3000-meter racewalk with a time of 18:54.07.

Calvin Thomas was the runner-up in the 200-meter dash in 22.05. George Hannah took seventh in 22.99 while Jalen Dunnigan placed eighth (23.07). A trio of Tigers finished in the top eight of the 400-meter dash. Jonathan Thomas led the way with a third-place finish (51.87), with Connor Betts in fourth (52.16) and Ben Tavares in seventh (53.21).

Noah Sears won the pole vault, clearing 4.85 meters to take the top spot. Ian Hallom placed second in the triple jump at 11.96 meters and sixth in the high jump (1.82 meters). Ivan Williams and Creedon Welsch placed third (6.52 meters) and sixth (6.32 meters), respectively, in the long jump.

Daniel DeRamus hit 13.80 meters to place fourth in the shot put. Brody Vollrath was right behind that mark in fifth at 13.33 meters. The duo placed fourth and fifth again in the weight throw, with DeRamus hitting 15.46 meters and Vollrath notching 15.32 meters. Aiden Mclain was seventh at 13.77 meters.

Vincent Giuliano, Max Grant, Hannah, and Thomas teamed up for a runner-up finish in the 4x400-meter relay in 3:32.67, ONU was the champion of the distance medley, with Richter, Giuliano, Grant, and Brett Hulliberger crossing the finish line first at 10:22.38.

The Tigers will remain in the Perry Center to host the Walter Cramer Open on Saturday, February 4th.
