DAHL TO TAKE ON FULL-TIME HEAD COACH ROLE FOR MEN’S VOLLEYBALL

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – Dillon Dahl, who served as the Olivet Nazarene University men's volleyball interim head coach for the entirety of the 2024 season, will take on the full-time head coach position for the program, effective immediately. ONU Athletic Director Justin Glenn made the announcement to the team in a meeting last week.

"Taking on the role of head men's volleyball coach at ONU is truly a blessing," said Dahl. "I would like to thank Jason Stephens and Justin Glenn for giving me the opportunity to come lead this program in January. Working closely with the team this spring, I have witnessed firsthand the remarkable individuals who embody the culture of ONU and this program. The chance to coach at an institution that embodies Christ-like character and levels of success, while also expanding and evaluating this program truly excites me."

Behind Dahl, the 2024 ONU men's volleyball team posted a 14-11 overall record and went 7-3 in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) league play, good for the third-best record in the conference.

The team also garnered four all-CCAC selections, including the CCAC Freshman of the Year Brody McAfee, and earned a trip to the CCAC Tournament Semifinals.

""Dillon Dahl has been a tremendous addition to our staff during his interim period, so I am excited to make it official for him to continue leading the ONU men's volleyball program," said Glenn. "Dillon's vision for the program and commitment to excellence on and off the court perfectly align with our goals here at ONU, and I look forward to a bright future for our men's volleyball team under Dillon's leadership."

Dahl attended Northern State University where he competed in the decathlon and javelin at Northern State and placed in each event twice at the 2014 and 2015 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Championships. Additionally, he was a four time academic all-NSIC honoree. Dahl graduated from NSU in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in biology education.
