ONU Scores Win over Briar Cliff

Sioux City, Iowa – ONU had 14 players score in their 114-92 victory over Briar Cliff in the GPAC vs. CCAC Challenge in Sioux City, Iowa. Of these 14 players, six scored in double digits. The Tigers were led in scoring by Kaitlyn Clark (SO/Orting, Wash.) who had 15 points, on 70% shooting from the field. Sammy Stejskal (SR/Arlington Heights, Ill.) had 14 points for the Tigers, and added five steals for the game. Zanna Myers (SO/Monticello, Ill.) also had 14 points going three of seven from the three-point arc. Kayla Ross (SR/Elgin, Ill.) led the Tigers in assists and rebounds with 10 and eight respectively. Ross also had two steals.

The Tigers held the advantage for the entire game, winning every quarter but the second. They made 20 of their 67 three-point attempts. Olivet also held the advantage over Briar Cliff in rebounds (52 to 41), assists (32 to 16), and steals (23 to 20). ONU also won the turnover battle, turning the ball over 12 fewer times than the Chargers.
