TIGERS PUT UP 100 POINTS IN MATCHUP AGAINST CARDINAL STRITCH

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – In this match-up against Cardinal Stritch Wolves, the Tigers' full-court press and up-tempo offense allowed the team to roll to a 100-72 victory. Forcing 25 turnovers in the game, the Tigers put the pressure on early and did not allow for their opponent to get comfortable.

Ashley Ford (SR/Illiopolis, Ill.) opened up the scoring on a layup that was assisted by Kennedy Johnson (JR/Romulus, Mich.). Ford provided a huge spark for the Tigers with her interior play today, which helped the team out-rebound their opponents, 54 to 33. The Wolves traded baskets early and matched the Tigers' energy, but a seven-point first quarter for Kennedy Johnson amounted to a 13-point lead for ONU going into the second quarter. Coming out strong in the second period of play was Olivia Demosthenes (FR/Bloomington, Ill.), scoring seven points of her own, on her way to a game-high 14 points. Thanks to strong interplay and quick action in transition, the Tigers pushed ahead to take a 20-point lead into halftime.
