BOEHNE TABBED CCAC POTW HONORS

CHICAGO, Ill. - The Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) announced on Tuesday morning that they have selected Olivet Nazarene University forward Caroline Boehne as their Player of the Week for the period ending Jan. 23.  This is the first player of the week honor for the senior and the second for the Tigers' program this season.

Boehne had a career week for the Tigers against Roosevelt and Holy Cross. The Hoffman Ill. native set a new career-high on Senior Day Saturday when she grabbed 18 boards in 21 minutes in a 98-84 victory over Holy Cross College.  She also tacked 19 points that afternoon for her sixth double-double of the season.

That performance came on the heels of a 16-point, nine-rebound, four-assist night against Roosevelt University on Wednesday.  The Tigers secured a 120-40 win that evening.

Boehne's numbers over the two-game stretch included 17.5 points, 13.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per contest while shooting 60.9 percent from the field (14-of-23).

The Tigers improved their records to 13-8 overall and 10-4 in league play with the two wins.

The Tigers are on the road next week as they travel to Calumet to take on The Crimson Wave. Tip-off is slated for 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 26. Please visit onutigers.com for all the up-to-date links to follow all of the action.
