TIGERS EXTEND WINNING STREAK WITH WIN OVER TITANS

LAKEVILLE, Ind. – The Olivet Nazarene women's soccer team rides a three-game winning streak after defeating the Indiana South Bend Titans 10-0 Saturday afternoon on the road. Tiger defender Marissa Anderson led the way with her first two goals and assist of the year in the victory.

 

ONU started the match strong tallying three goals within the first seven minutes of the contest. The Tigers converted six of their first 11 shot attempts of the match into goals. Between the 31st and the 38th minute, Olivet was close to adding more as they struck the woodwork four times. With two seconds remaining in the half, Keeley Francis scored her first career goal assisted by McKenna Couchenour.

The Tigers added three more to the scoresheet as Teagon Albert and Susanna Lindquist scored 108 seconds apart in the 67th and 69th minute respectively. Francis completed the brace in the 80th minute for the game's final goal. Defensively, Olivet held IU-South Bend to only one shot attempt for the match and that registered Samantha Tuuk's only save. ONU held the shot attempt advantage, 49-1, and the corner kick advantage, 13-0.
