TIGERS AND EAGLES END IN 1-1 DRAW TO STAY UNDEFEATED IN CCAC PLAY

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – The Olivet Nazarene women's soccer team stays undefeated in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Play (CCAC) as they fight to a 1-1 draw with the Judson University Eagles Tuesday night at Snowbarger Athletic Complex. Marissa Anderson scored her fourth goal in the last three games in the draw.

Both sides began the match with an offensive focus that resulted in end-to-end play. The breakthrough came in the 22nd minute when Abbey Cash's corner kick found its way to the far post for an awaiting Alaina Bahr. Her shot attempt redirected to Marissa Anderson for the finish. Alex Wawrzyniak created the Eagles' best opportunity of the half as they searched for an equalizer. In the 30th minute, Wawrzyniak headed attempt drifted over the crossbar. A relatively even half saw both sides tied on total shot attempts with six.  The Tigers saw out the rest of the period holding onto the one-goal lead.

Halftime: Olivet Nazarene 1, Judson 0

Directly out of the break, the Eagles drove into Olivet's box and drew a penalty. Yetzemany Solis drove her shot past Samantha Tuuk to tie up the match in the 47th minute. Alondra Blanco was close to giving the Eagles the lead in the 51st when her shot attempt struck the crossbar. Abbey Cash almost found the go-ahead goal at the 70th minute off a drawn-up set-piece play forcing a save from the Eagle netminder. Alaina Bahr was on the end of another great opportunity two minutes later. The momentum teetered back towards Olivet's favor late in the match but a game-winner in regulation was not to be had and the match headed to extra time.

End of Regulation: Olivet Nazarene 1, Judson 1

The Tigers carried the momentum from regulation into both overtime periods dominating the run of play. ONU out-shot Judson 6-1 in both extra periods combined. Teagon Albert was inches away from ending the match as her volley struck the woodwork in the 102nd minute. Both sides went the distance but had to settle for a draw.
