TIGERS FIRE SIX PAST CRIMSON WAVE ON SENIOR NIGHT

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – The Olivet Nazarene women's soccer team finished off the regular season with a 6-0 victory over Calumet College of St. Joseph's on Senior Night. ONU secured a top-four finish in the Chicago Collegiate Athletic Conference regular season. Six different players tallied goals for the match.

 

The senior, Jenna Durbin, scored her first goal of the season in the 7th minute of the match assisted by Susanna Lindquist. The ball found its way to Durbin off of a Lindquist redirection. It only took four minutes later for the tigers to double their advantage. Teagon Albert scored directly from a free-kick for the sixth goal of the season. Olivia Lorenc registered her first goal of the campaign in the 21st minute assisted by Kara Jacobs and Brooklyn Hulliberger. Four minutes later, Camile Cote tallied the fourth goal for the Tigers assisted by Keeley Francis and McKenna Couchenour. It was also Cote's first goal of the season. With only two minutes left in the first half, Heidi Kruger got on the end of Couchenour's through-ball to score her first goal of the season. The Tigers rolled to a five-goal lead at the break.

 

Halftime: Olivet Nazarene 5, Calumet College 0

 

Susanna Lindquist scored the final goal of the contest in the 56th minute with the assist credited to Katie Knutte. The Tigers maintained the vast majority of the possession through out the match as Calumet was forced to play the entire match with a limited roster. ONU did not concede any shot attempts for the match. They set a season-high 43 shot attempts.
