ONU WOMEN'S TENNIS RECORDS SHUTOUT AT SAINT AMBROSE TO MOVE TO 2-0 IN CCAC PLAY

DAVENPORT, Iowa – The Olivet Nazarene University women's tennis team moved to 2-0 in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) after they shut out the Fighting Bees of Saint Ambrose on Wednesday afternoon. 

 

The Tigers saw each of its three doubles teams win their matches.  The teams of Anja Mijailovic and Mara Perez Guillen and Chieh-Yu Chen and Nirva Patel each won their matches, 6-0, while the team of Narjis Mzibri and Heidi Moyo won their match, 6-2.  The Tigers earned that critical first point after winning each doubles match.    

 

Mzibri, who was named the CCAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week, won her singles' match, 6-0, 6-1.  Both Perez Guillen and Mijailovic won their singles' matches, 6-0, 6-0 as the Tigers clinched the 4-0 victory over the Fighting Bees.

The Tigers host the Wolves of Cardinal Stritch University on Monday, April 11th. The match begins at 3 p.m. at the Snowbarger Athletic Complex Tennis Courts.
