MOYO RECOGNIZED AS THE CCAC WOMEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – The Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) selected Heidi Moyo as its Women's Tennis Player of the Week.  The conference announced its selections on Wednesday.  This is the first such award for Moyo in her two-year career. 

 

Moyo had a very strong week for the Tigers as they solidified their first number one seed in the tournament since 2015.  The Harare, Zimbabwe native went 3-0 on the week, including going 2-0 in singles action.  Moyo did not surrender a point in the 6-0, 6-0 win over Samantha Brackenrig of Judson while only surrendering a combined four points in the 6-2, 6-2 win over Maria Rivas of Roosevelt.  Also, matched with Narjis Mzibri, won her doubles match over Judson, 6-4.  In CCAC play, Moyo is both 5-0 in singles and 5-0 in doubles action.    

 

The Tigers start the CCAC Tournament on Thursday, April 28th as they await the winner of Judson vs. Holy Cross.  The match at the Snowbarger Athletic Complex will begin at 3 p.m.
