WOMEN'S TENNIS ADVANCES TO THE CCAC TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONSHIP WITH 4-0 WIN OVER HOLY CROSS

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – The No. 25 Olivet Nazarene University women's tennis team hosted the Saints of Holy Cross College in the Semifinals of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Tournament at the Park Forest Tennis Club on Thursday afternoon. The Tigers advance to Saturday's Championship game after a 4-0 shutout victory. 

 

The Tigers earned that critical doubles point when the team of Narjis Mzibri and Heidi Moyo won their match, 6-1, and Nirva Patel and Chieh-Yu Chen won their match, 6-3.  The Tigers are up, 1-0. 

 

In singles play, Mzibri opened up a 2-0 lead for the Tigers as she won her match, 6-3, 6-0.  Natasha Nieto then won her match, 6-2, 6-2 and Mara Perez Guillen clinched the match for the Tigers as she won her match, 6-3, 6-1.

WHAT'S NEXT?

The Tigers host the CCAC Tournament Championship match on Saturday, April 30th.  The Tigers will host the Wolves of Cardinal Stritch University at the Park Forest Tennis Courts at noon.  Please visit onutigers.com for more information.  The Tigers are seeking their first CCAC Championship title since 2016.
