SEASON COMES TO AN END IN SEMIFINAL ROUND OF CCAC TOURNAMENT

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Olivet Nazarene University women's tennis team had its season come to a close with a 4-0 loss at Holy Cross in the semifinal round of the CCAC Tournament Wednesday afternoon.

The Tigers lost the second and third doubles matches to drop the doubles points. Both matches had identical 6-2 scores. Chieh-Yu Chen and Audrey Zoeteman played No. 2 doubles for ONU, while Mia Schwada and Rachel Shuflit played at No. 3.

Zoeteman, Schwada, and Clair Ott each lost in straight sets at No. 4, 5, and 6 singles, respectively, to close out the dual.

ONU was competitive in the top three matches that went unfinished. Nirva Patel dropped the first set but was up 4-1 in the second in her battle at No. 1 singles. Natasha Nieto was tied at 2-2 in the second set at No. 2 singles and Chen was leading 3-1 in the second set at No. 3 singles when play was halted.

The Tigers finished the year with four dual victories, with three of those coming in conference play.
