ONU REPEATS SWEEP OF CCAC TRACK & FIELD WEEKLY HONORS, ANTKOVIAK RECOGNIZED NATIONALLY AGAIN

CHICAGO, Ill. – The Olivet Nazarene University women's outdoor track & field team has gone back-to-back with its second sweep of Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) weekly track & field awards courtesy of the performances of Hannah Antkoviak and Amanda Gustafson during the seven-day period ending April 28, the league office announced on Wednesday afternoon.

That was not the only repeat win for the program as Antkoviak, the three-time CCAC Track Athlete of the Week, also captured her second NAIA National Track Athlete of the Week honor for 2024 with her effort at the prestigious Drake Relays on Thursday.

The junior won the 400-meter hurdles with her 56.2-second finish. That time kept her atop the NAIA leaderboard, while also ranking eighth-fastest at any collegiate level. It also punched Antkoviak's ticket to the USA Track & Field National Championships this summer.

A total of 26 individuals made up the field at the Drake Relays.

Gustafson, meanwhile, earned her spot at the NAIA National Championships with her shot put throw at the ONU Outdoor Invitational on Saturday. The freshman's distance covered 45 feet, 0.5 inches and was first among 17 individuals competing in the event.

Gustafson also placed fourth out of 16 with her throw of 139 feet, 4 inches in the discus.
