SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The RV Olivet Nazarene University women's volleyball team travelled to take on Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) foe Indiana University- South Bend on Tuesday night.  The Titans won a straight set contest over the Tigers.

The Titans got off to a hot start at the start of the first set as they marked 7 of the first 10 points.  Becca Bell scored the lone Tiger kill in the first 10 points.  The Titans kept up the pace throughout the set and led by as much as 11 points.  The Tigers saw their best run midway through the set when they rattled off five straight points to cut the Titan lead in half at 15-10.  Janelle Skinner recorded an ace and a kill while Katarina Nikolic also picked up a kill, during that run.  Eventually, IU South Bend took down the Tigers, 25-14, in the opening set.  Skinner and Bell led with a pair of kills and Nikolic led the Tigers with seven digs.

In the second set, the Titans picked up where they left off and scored 6 of the first 10 points.  Rachel Newport and Bell each tallied kills.  Halfway through the set, the Tigers cut into the Titan lead.  With IUSB leading 14-10, a pair of kills by Carleigh Johnson and a kill by Nikolic and Newport each tied the match at 15.  Then, the Titans marked six of the next eight points and retook the lead at, 21-17.  The Titans ended up defeating the Tigers in the second set, 25-19.  Newport led the Tigers with six kills while Kaitlyn McMahan led the team with 13 digs.

Like the second set, the Titans also took 6 of the first 10 points of the third set. Sutton Bate and Bell both recorded a kill during that stretch.  The Titans controlled the pace of the third set until the Tigers tried to close the gap halfway through the set.  After IUSB marked five of the next seven points to make the score 16-11, a pair of kills by Nikolic cut the deficit to one at 16-15.
