CANNON, NICHOLAS EARN ALL-CCAC SECOND TEAM HONORS

CHICAGO, Ill.Brianna Cannon and Halle Nicholas were both selected to the All-CCAC second team for their efforts in the 2022 season, the league announced Monday.

Cannon, a senior defensive specialist, led the Tigers with 457 digs, an average of 4.62 digs per set. Her total is the fourth-highest mark in the CCAC. She was credited with double-digit digs in 25 of the 28 matches she played. Cannon, from San Diego, Calif., tallied over 20 digs nine times this season.

She was awarded the CCAC Defender of the Week award on Sept. 13 after tabbing 23 digs in a 3-0 win over IU-South Bend and a season-high 28 digs in a 3-1 win over IU-Northwest. Cannon finished her ONU career with a total of 793 digs.

Nicholas, a sophomore outside hitter, led ONU with 274 kills this season. She had 13 matches with at least 10 kills, including eight out of the last 10 matches of the season.

The Warren, Mich. native was named the CCAC Attacker of the Week on Sept. 13 after collecting 14 kills in a 3-1 win over IU-Northwest and a season-best 20 kills in a sweep over IU-South Bend.

The Olivet Nazarene University women's volleyball team finished the season 8-20 overall and qualified for the CCAC Tournament.
