ONU MEN’S AND WOMEN’S COUNTRY NAMED USTFCCCA ALL-ACADEMIC TEAMS

NEW ORLEANS, La. - Both the Olivet Nazarene University men's and women's cross country teams, led by head coach Kyle Rago, were named All-Academic Teams by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

In order to qualify, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0.

The ONU women posted a 3.17 GPA to be one of the 70 NAIA women's programs honored. On the men's side, ONU was named one of the 60 men's programs named after posting a 3.02 GPA.

In addition to the team honors, seven Tigers were individually named USTFCCCA All-Academic Athletes for holding a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or better. From the women's team, Eleanor Fournier, Heidi Heldt, Amelia Murray, Jacey Schickel, Lauren Smith, and Catherine White received the honor. Peyton Hobson earned the distinction on the men's side.
