STRONG SERIES EARNS DUPUIS CCAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS

CHICAGO, Ill. – After leading the Olivet Nazarene University baseball team to a series victory over the weekend, Jack Dupuis has claimed the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference baseball weekly honor for the seven-day period ending March 16, the league office announced on Wednesday afternoon.

Dupuis produced multi-hit games in each of his four contests played, leading to a .692 batting average (9-for-13). Four of those hits went for doubles, leading to a .923 slugging percentage. He also scored eight runs, drove in another two, had one walk and one stolen base.

The senior infielder opened the Tigers' four-game series with St. Ambrose University (Iowa) by going 3-for-4 with one run batted in and two runs scored in a 9-0 win on Thursday. In Game 2, a 14-3 victory, he was just as impressive, going 2-for-3 with both hits being doubles and three runs scored.

Dupuis provided another two hits in each end of a doubleheader on Saturday, where ONU won the opener 6-5 before falling in the nightcap 10-8. In those games, he scored three times and had one RBI.

Defensively, Dupuis was perfect from his shortstop position, fielding all six putouts and 12 assists cleanly. He also helped turn four double plays.

Olivet Nazarene boosted its records to 8-11 overall and 4-4 against league competition with the 3-1 week.
