JUSTIN GLENN NAMED ONU’S NEW ATHLETIC DIRECTOR

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – Olivet Nazarene University Vice President of Student Development Dr. Jason Stephens has named Justin Glenn the new athletic director for the university. Stephens made the announcement to the staff Monday morning.

Glenn has served Olivet for the last six years as the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance. Prior to joining ONU, Glenn worked four years at the NAIA national office, overseeing national championships for women's basketball, men's golf, women's golf, and men's soccer. He also worked with Teamworks, a software company focused on streamlining collegiate athletics recruitment and support, and as the recreation supervisor for Bourbonnais Township Park District.

"Given his background at the national level, working for the NAIA national office, and at the local level, serving as our Assistant AD for Compliance, Justin has played an integral role in the ONU athletics department for nearly six years," said Stephens. "Justin is extremely well positioned to lead our athletics department and further its longstanding tradition of excellence. Over the past six years, he has demonstrated commitment to ensuring our athletes achieve success both on and off the field and has represented ONU with passion and integrity."

"Justin also fully understands what must happen to continue advancing the work of ONU Athletics to keep us competitive in an ever-changing college athletics environment," continued Stephens. "He recognizes that our athletes are, first and foremost, students, who are here to play competitive sport while also earning a world-class Christian education. I am excited and look forward to the future of ONU Athletics."

Over the past year, Glenn served the ONU athletics department as the interim athletic director. He navigated the department through a turbulent year, including the hiring of six new head coaches, reviewing ONU's athletic aid model, and overseeing an athletic staff restructure.

"I am extremely humbled to be selected to serve Olivet Nazarene University in this role," said Glenn. "It is an honor to lead the incredible staff in this department as we strive to glorify God through highly competitive intercollegiate athletics."

"Thank you to Dr. (Gregg) Chenoweth, Dr. Stephens, and the hiring committee for trusting me with this opportunity. I look forward to collaborating with other departments on campus to enhance the overall student athlete experience and elevate Olivet's reputation as a premier athletic and academic institution," said Glenn.

Glenn resides in Bradley with his wife, Lauren, and two sons, Nash and Micah.
