GROSS' 30-POINT EFFORT TABS HIM CCAC MEN'S BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – The Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) announced on Tuesday that Olivet Nazarene University center Alex Gross was named as the League's Men's Basketball Player of the Week.  This is the third such honor for Gross this season. 

 

In his only game of the week, Gross dropped his first 30-point game this season and his second career 30-point game of his career.  In addition, Gross grabbed 14 rebounds, marking his 12th double-double of the season, blocked six shots, tying his season-high, and assisted on five baskets.

 

Gross is second in the NAIA with 12.5 rebounds a game, fourth with 3.1 blocks a game, and is third in the conference with 19.7 points a game.

 

The RV Tigers play host to the Fighting Saints of University of St. Francis on Wednesday, January 5th.  Tipoff inside McHie Arena is set for 7:30 p.m.
