BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – The No. 17 Olivet Nazarene University men's cross country team posted a near-perfect score to take down their home meet, the Midwest Classic, Friday evening at the Aspen Ridge Golf Course in Bourbonnais, Ill.

The Tigers finished with a score of 19 points, just four points shy of the perfect 15, to win the eight-team event. Junior harrier David Olmos won the 8k race with a time of 25:53.8, being the only runner to clock in under the 26-minute threshold.

Places three through seven were owned by ONU. Flynn Prather was the second Tiger to cross the finish line at 26:11.0 in third place. Not far behind was Taylor Vallangeon in fourth place with a time of 26:20.3. Hayden Colclasure and Nick Janson rounded out the scoring with fifth- and sixth-place finishes, respectively.

ONU will take the upcoming weekend off before heading to the highly competitive Live in the Lou Cross Country Classic on Sept. 30 in Louisville, Ky.
