THREE TIGERS ECLIPSE 26-MINUTE THRESHOLD AT GREAT LAKES CHALLENGE

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Three Tigers finished under the 26-minute threshold to lead the No. 18 Olivet Nazarene University men's cross country team at the fully-loaded NAIA Great Lakes Challenge Saturday morning.

Taylor Vallangeon led the trio with a time of 25:30.3, good for 31st place in the 243-runner field. Enrique Romo posted his best time of season at 25:49.7 to finish 59th and David Olmos crossed the finish line at 25:57.2 to place 68th.

Nick Janson was just seven seconds shy of being the fourth Tiger to finish under 26 minutes at the Great Lakes Challenge, placing 77th with a time of 26:07.9. Flynn Prather rounded out the scoring for ONU with a 103rd-place finish at 26:29.6.

The No. 18 Tigers tabbed a final score of 327 to place 12th out of 27 teams in the women's "maroon" race. Indiana Wesleyan took the team title with 40 points.

The ONU men's cross country team will now head to the postseason at the CCAC Conference Championships on Saturday, Nov. 4 at the Sunset Hill Farm County Park in Valparaiso, Ind.
