BOEHNE AND CORA NAMED TO CSC ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT TEAM

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. - Caroline Boehne and Maggie Cora were named to the 2022-23 Academic All-District Women's Basketball Team as selected by College Sports Communicators (CSC).

The honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. Nominees must be starters or important reserves, sophomores or older, with at least 3.50-grade point averages. Click HERE to view the entire list of honorees.

The pair are starters for an ONU team that will host St. Ambrose for a CCAC Tournament quarterfinal matchup Wednesday night.

Boehne, a senior forward from Hoffman, Ill., has started in 25 of ONU's 27 games this season. She is averaging 15.5 points per game this season and is bringing down 9.4 rebounds a contest, which is the third-best mark in the conference. Boehne became the 33rd Tiger to score 1,000 career points earlier this season and was twice selected as the CCAC Player of the Week. She is currently pursuing her Masters of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics at ONU.

Cora, a senior guard from Lizon, Ind., has started all 27 games for the Tigerball program this season. She is averaging 12.2 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game. Cora scored her 1,000th career point earlier this season, becoming the 34th Tiger in program history to accomplish the feat. She is double-majoring in Psychology and Sports Management at ONU.

The two Tigers will now advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in mid-March.
