BOEHNE, DEMOSTHENES, & DIRKSE EARN ALL-CONFERENCE RECOGNITION

CHICAGO, Ill. – The Olivet Nazarene University women's basketball had three Tigers earn recognition from the conference for their performances this season, as the league office announced its postseason awards Tuesday.

Caroline Boehne was named second team all-CCAC, Olivia Demosthenes earned all-conference honorable mention, and Olivia Dirkse was placed on the CCAC All-Freshman Team.

For Boehne, it marked the second time in as many years that she has been named second team all-conference. She led the team in both scoring (15.5 points per game) and rebounding (9.2 rebounds per game) while shooting better than 51 percent from the floor and nearly 38 percent from three. The 5-10 senior from Hoffman, Ill. scored in double figures in 25 of the Tigers' 29 games this season. She scored a career-best 26 points in a 99-77 win at Holy Cross on Jan. 21.

Boehne posted 11 double-doubles this season, including a 20-point, 16-rebound effort in a 111-52 win over Calumet on Dec. 17. She was also twice-named the CCAC Player of the Week this season.

Boehne became the 33rd player in program history to score 1,000 career points when she the milestone against Indiana Northwest on Dec. 3. She needed just 127 games to hit the mark and ended the season with 1,343 career points, good for 18th on the program's all-time scoring list.

Demosthenes was one of the Tiger's top scoring threats this season. She averaged 12.6 points per contest, the second-best scoring clip for ONU, and averaged a team-leading 2.8 assists per game.

The 5-6 junior guard from Bloomington, Ill. scored in double figures 18 times this season. She scored a career-best 26 points in a 101-77 win over Roosevelt on Jan. 18, going 9-for-15 from the floor and knocking down four triples.

Dirkse is one of just five freshmen in the conference to be named to the CCAC All-Freshman Team. The 5-8 guard from Davison, Mich. was the team's top three-point threat, knocking down 2.1 triples per contest at a better than 30 percent clip. Dirkse hit at least one 3-pointer in 22 games this year and hit multiple threes in a game 16 times. She averaged 11.0 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per contest.
