BOURBONNAIS, IL. – Olivet Nazarene University's women's basketball team kicked off Homecoming weekend in style as they secured a 126-82 victory over Great Lakes Christian University at McHie Arena on Friday.
ONU's offense was on fire, shooting at a remarkable 40.8% from the field. Their three-point shooting was equally impressive, with a 35.8% success rate from beyond the arc. The Tigers also dominated the boards, outrebounding their opponents 59-48, showcasing their tenacity on both ends of the court.
Leading the charge for ONU was senior guard Olivia Demosthenes, who lit up the scoreboard with a game-high 21 points. Her remarkable scoring ability and leadership on the court were instrumental in the Tigers' commanding performance.
What's Next?
ONU is now setting their sights on the upcoming regular season. The Tigers' regular season home opener will take place against Bethany College. Tipoff is set for 1:00 p.m. CST.
