SECOND-ROUND IMPROVEMENTS LIFT TIGERS TO FOURTH-PLACE FINISH AT CCAC CHAMPIONSHIPS

SILVIS, Ill. – Second-round improvements lifted the Olivet Nazarene University women's golf team to a fourth-place finish at the CCAC Championships. All five Tigers improved their second-round performances by multiple strokes at TPC Deere Run.

Alexandria Jones led the Tigers with a medal finish at the conference championships. The junior from Bloomington, Ill., improved on her opening-round score by 20 strokes with a 77 on day two to earn fifth place overall. Lizzie Howard carded a 99 Monday before finishing with an 83 Tuesday to place 11th.

Lydia Stier and Emily Hayhurst both improved on their scores in Tuesday's second round, with Steier shooting a 198 (102-96) to tie for 18th and Hayhurst firing a 201 (103-98) to finish 20th. Faith Dalton carded a 98 Tuesday, a 10-stroke improvement from the first round, to earn 23rd place.

The Tigers improved their second-round score by 47 strokes to shoot a collective 755 to finish in fourth place, just one stroke behind Judson in third place. Saint Xavier's Hannah Kilbane earned individual medalist honors with a 166, winning the playoff after one hole, to lead the Cougars to the conference title (731).
