JONES NAMED TO CSC ACADEMIC ALL-AMERICA SECOND TEAM

AUSTIN, TexasAlexandria Jones was named to the prestigious 2023 Academic All-America Women's At-Large Team, as voted on by College Sports Communicators (CSC). She received second team recognition as a member of the Olivet Nazarene University women's golf team.

The CSC Academic All-America Team is comprised of student-athletes from NAIA institutions, who are selected based on their work athletically and in the classroom. Nominees must be starters or important reserves, sophomores or older, with at least 3.50 cumulative grade point averages. The women's at-large team includes student-athletes from bowling, competitive cheer, competitive dance, golf, lacrosse, and wrestling.

Jones, from Bloomington, Ill., recently received first team all-CCAC honors after finishing first on the team with an 84.5 scoring average over 16 rounds this year. She earned seven top-10 finishes over the season, including a medal finish at the CCAC Championships at TPC Deere Run where she fired a 174 (99-77) to place fifth. Jones, who is currently a junior studying Interior Design at Olivet Nazarene University, was also named an NAIA Scholar-Athlete in May.

Jones is the eighth Tiger to earn CSC Academic All-America recognition this year. She and Fabio Hasler (men's soccer) both earned second team honors. Justin Eisenmann (men's soccer), Nick Kilian (men's soccer), Megan Schroeder (women's swim & dive), Mason Beall (men's swim & dive), Nicholas Klenner (men's swim & dive) and Jake Ostema (men's volleyball) were all first team academic all-America selections.
