RV ONU CONCLUED THE CCAC TOURNAMENT AS FINALISTS

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – The RV Olivet Nazarene women's soccer team come up just short as they fell to the Cardinal Stritch Wolves 1-0 in the CCAC Tournament Championship Saturday afternoon. A penalty kick in the first half was the difference, but the Tigers' season will extend into the NAIA Opening Round next week.

The penalty kick was awarded in the 38th as Mari Sagstad stepped up and buried the spot kick for the contest's only score. Sara Loichinger and Abbey Cash combined for five shots. The Tigers and Wolves were level on shot attempts that were on frame with three apiece.

Tessa Kowalski played all 90 minutes in goal only allowing the penalty kick while making three saves.

The Athletics Department would like to congratulate the ONU women's soccer program on a fantastic season finishing as the CCAC Regular Season Champions with a conference record of 11-1-1 to secure an automatic bid to the NAIA National Tournament. We would like to acknowledge the seniors who played their final game at home for all their amazing achievements.
