RANDALL INKS DEAL WITH ROCHESTER UNITED FC

BOURBONNAIS, IL. - Meegan Randall, the rising talent from Olivet Nazarene University's women's soccer team, has inked a significant deal with Rochester United FC (RUFC) for the upcoming summer season. Hailing from Republic, MO., Randall has displayed exceptional talent and determination throughout her inaugural season with the women's team, earning her a well-deserved spot with one of the premier teams in the Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL).

Randall has quickly made a name for herself as a force to be reckoned with on the field. Throughout the 2023-2024 season, Randall showcased her prowess as a goalkeeper, starting in 19 out of 21 matches. Her remarkable performance saw her record an impressive 45 saves while conceding only 13 goals, leading the Tigers to an impressive season record of 12-5-4. It comes as no surprise that she was named to the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) First Team at the conclusion of the regular season, a testament to her outstanding contributions to the team.

Reflecting on her journey thus far, Randall expressed her excitement about signing with RUFC, stating, "Since I was a kid, I have always dreamed of playing at the highest level. I am super stoked about playing with Rochester in the summer and I am excited to have this opportunity to play at a high level!"

When asked about her experience at ONU and its impact on her growth as a player, Randall highlighted the invaluable lessons she learned, stating, "Playing at ONU has helped me learn to play the game at the next level. Since coming from high school there are a lot of changes to the game. The biggest change for me is how much faster paced the game is and I think that helps me understand the game better while having quicker decision making as well."

Head Coach Bill Bahr commended Randall's dedication and teamwork, stating, "Meegan is an extremely hard worker. She is dedicated to her craft and yet at the same time she is a team player and very personable." Coach Bahr also emphasized the significance of Randall's success for the program, expressing his hope that her achievements would inspire other players to pursue their dreams beyond college soccer.

As Randall prepares to embark on this exciting new chapter in her soccer career, she looks forward to the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. "I am looking forward to being challenged every day in my abilities and also the connections I will be making with other high-level players," she stated.

To aspiring players seeking a similar path, Randall offers words of encouragement, urging them to persevere and believe in themselves. "Just put your head down and work, and eventually your time will come. And if you really want to play at the next level, you need to put in the extra work," she advised.

Randall intends to return to ONU in the fall for her sophomore season, continuing her academic pursuits alongside her passion for soccer.

ONU congratulates Randall on her remarkable achievement and wishes her the best of luck as she represents ONU and pursues her dreams with Rochester United FC in the WPSL.
