NO. 23 TIGERS POST SEASON-BEST TIMES AT LIVE IN THE LOU CLASSIC

LOUISVILLE, Ky. –  Multiple members of the No. 23 Olivet Nazarene University women's cross country team posted their best times of the season at the fully-loaded Live in the Lou Classic Saturday morning in Louisville, Ky.

All five ONU scorers posted their best 5k time of the year in the women's "blue" race. Catherine White paced the Tigers with a 19:13.6 time and a 71st-place finish. Eleanor Fournier cracked the top 100 of the 383-runner field, crossing the finish line at 19:23.26 to place 89th.

Freshmen harriers Hannah Haag and Bella Hoffer both improved on their times from two weeks ago. Haag shaved four seconds off her time with a 19:40.3 to place 131st, while Hoffer eclipsed the 20-minute threshold for the first time in her collegiate career at 19:54.2 to finish 158th. Elise Champlin rounded out the scoring for ONU in 195th (20:13.5).

As a team, the No. 23 Tigers finished with a tally of 605 points to place 23rd in the 41-team race, finishing in front of three teams ahead of them in the latest NAIA Coaches Top 25 Poll: No. 12 Lewis-Clark State (614 points), No. 16 Grace (636 points), and No. 20 Indiana Tech (684 points).

The women's cross country team will turn around a short week to take on the Bethel Invitational this Friday at St. Partick's Couty Park in South Bend, Ind. The race is set to begin at 2:30 p.m. CST.
