ONU WOMEN EARN 24TH-PLACE TEAM FINISH AT NAIA CHAMPIONSHIPS

VANCOUVER, Wash. – The Olivet Nazarene University women's cross country team wrapped their 2023 campaign with a 24th-place team finish at the NAIA National Championships Friday morning at the Fort Vancouver Historical Site in Vancouver, Wash.

Freshman harrier Hannah Haag led the way for ONU, crossing the line in 23:47 to finish 96th among 333 women's runners. Catherine White nearly notched a top-100 finish, placing 101st with a time of 23:52. Eleanor Fournier was right behind White, finishing in 24:04 to place 114th.

Bella Hoffer and Elise Champlin rounded out the scoring for ONU, with the former placing 163rd at 24:43 and the latter taking 181st at 25:00. Lauren Smith and Kathryn Swanson also competed for the Tigers at the national meet.

The Tigers tallied 655 points to place 24th in the 36-team field. The College of Idaho took home the red banner with a final score of 68 points.

ONU's 24th-place finish at the 2023 NAIA National Championship Meet mirrors their finish from a year ago, placing 24th at the national meet in 2022.
