LEAKE NAMED MSFA SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

BOURBONNAIS, Ill.Evan Leake was named the Mid-States Football Association (MSFA) Midwest League Special Teams Player of the Week on Monday after a big day of kickoff returns in Saturday's 45-14 loss at No. 6 Marian.

Leake, from Mt. Vernon, Ill., returned a kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter of Saturday's contest, marking his second touchdown return in as many weeks for the purple and yellow gold.

On the day, Leake racked up 113 yards on three kickoffs for a 37.7 yards-per-return average. The junior running back also rushed the ball seven times for 28 yards, while also hauling in a pair of receptions for six yards.

This is the second MSFA Player of the Week award for Leake, earning the Offensive accord in last season's 27-14 win over Trinity International.
